Vietnam is a beautiful county located in Southeast Asia famous for its natural attractions. It is a country of diverse culture, rich history, bustling streets and friendly people.
As of 15th August 2023, Vietnam travel visa is available to all countries/territories around the world. Here’s all the essential information you need for the Vietnamese visa application process.
Type of Visa:
Vietnam offers E-visa to foreigners. This electronic visa is issued in a pdf file beforehand unlike a visa- on-arrival that needs to be stamped on your passport once you arrive.
Application for Vietnam Travel Visa (E-visa):
You can apply for e-visa online by using the following steps.
- Visit this link and apply for an electronic visa for foreigners.
- Fill out personal details, passport details and an appropriate photo that fulfils the requirements ( mentioned below).
- Pay the fees. Visa application fees is 25 USD ( INR 2,087) for single entry and 50 USD (INR 4,174) for multiple entries. This fees is non-refundable.
- You will receive a registration code that you will need to use later for verification and downloading the visa.
- The visa will take up to 3 business days to process after which it will be available on the following link.
Required documents:
- Your passport, needs to be valid for 6 months after date of arrival, with at least 2 blank pages.
- Passport-size picture that follow Vietnamese guidelines (mentioned below).
- Download/PDF version of Visa Application form.
- Proof that you’ve paid visa application fee.
Photo guidelines:
- The photo size should be 4 x 6 cm or 2 x 2 inches.
- The background must be plain white.
- Your face must be in the center of the photo, staring into the camera with a neutral expression.
- The picture must not be older than 6 months.
- Use of head covering is not allowed except for religious or medical reasons.
- Your hair must not be covering your eyes or ears.
- Use of eye wear is allowed but the frame should not cover your eyes (lense should not be colored)
Validity of E-visa:
Visa will be valid for up to 90 days. This visa allows multiple entries.
